Note that Jeremie Lacasse's time was first recorded as 22:37 and later changed to 22:27. This is a fantastic course record for Minime Males!

It was warm and not too windy, but the air pressure was higher than necessary for a really fast night. Regardless, 27 people bettered or tied their previous 2010 OTT best, and 15 improved upon their previous database best for 15km. The most impressive of the database improvements is Jeremie Lacasse's 22:27, which sets a new Minime record that is more than half a minute faster than Andrew Lattimore's previous mark of 23:03 set on 2005-Aug-25. Jeremie was lent a time trial helmet for this event, and hopefully he can continue to use it! Who knows, how quick he can go this year on an ideal night. Congratulations Jeremie! It's wonderful to see that the second and third most improved in terms of their previous database best, Jamie Riggs and Philippe Bergeron, are young senior riders. Way to go Jamie for cracking the 20 minute barrier. In terms of the women, four improved upon their previous database best - Stephane Rees was the most improved, followed my Hazel Ullyatt, Nina Nesdoly, and the fastest of the bunch, Allison McKay. Alison has ridden a large number of events, so we'll show her 15km time trial progress here whereas we'll show the graph for the other three here.

Since the OBC doesn't have a web input program and since no CD containing Bob's program was available for volunteers to type the results in with, these results were first posted on the OBC Bulltetin Board circa 15:02 on 2010-Jul-17 by Louise McLaren - Thanks Louise! The results will likely get on the OBC web site sometime in the next week, but they are available here and now for your immediate pleasure and analysis.

(Note that I offered to adapt my web based tt input program for OBC official usage a number of times over the years. I write web programs all the time for various volunteer organizations since they are easier to manage/update than applications that must be installed/upgraded on each volunteer's machine, and a web program can be run from any internet connection rather than only from a machine that the volunteer can install the software on. That Bob decided to write a non-web application, was fine, but his attempts to denigrate me by saying that I refused to write a web based input program for the OBC, hence leaving him in the lurch, is first of all a LIE, and also shows a rather strange view as to what volunteer work is all about! Anyway, I continue to enjoy donating this statistical time trial result service to you, even though doing so has, surprisingly, resulted in my EXPULSION from the OBC ! Lest complaints about me just lazily sucking in the results from the OBC site surface, I do want to make it absolutely clear that I would gladly help with (quick) data entry and error corrections as I did for the WTT series for the decade beginning in 1998, and for the OTT series from 1999-2002 and again in 2006! But if I continue to be excluded from helping with the boring grunt work, that's absolutely fine too. It leaves me more time to cycle (11,291 km so far in 2010) and do the more interesting side of my result service!)
